Welcome to a new feature ’round these parts of the interhighway.
Each week, our team of Lego monks and scribes reads everything on the Internet, and delivers a report to us in handy Illuminated Manuscript form. We then sift and sieve for the best content available, and deliver it to you in a list of links.
1. Starting off our inaugural edition of AWWR (pronounced ‘wooster’) is an essay on hobby farming (or more accurately on not hobby farming) from The New Agrarian. Read the article here.
2. Next up is an article about a computer program that writes music based on the styles of existing composers (often indistinguishable from works of the composer) and its developer. He’s got an interesting take on human creativity. I think he’s wrong on a lot of things (i.e. he seems to think that his program is human), but enjoyed reading it anyway. Available here.
3. Finally, the results from the 24th Existential Olympic Games are in over at McSweeney’s Internet Tendency!
I love new features!
